The Tampa Bay Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) is one of the state's largest professional organizations for public relations practitioners. Serving nearly 200 members across west central Florida, chapter members hail from business and industry, counseling firms, government, associations, hospitals, schools, professional services firms, and nonprofit organizations.

Its parent organization, the Public Relations Society of America, based in New York City, is the world's largest organization for public relations professionals. The Society has nearly 31,000 professional and student members. PRSA is organized into more than 100 chapters nationwide and 14 Professional Interest Sections, which represent business and industry, counseling firms, independent practitioners, military, government, associations, hospitals, schools, professional services firms and nonprofit organizations.

The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) has over 300 chapters at colleges and universities throughout the United States and abroad.
