Officer Position: President (term 1 year, 2015)

Marissa Segundo, APR
Marissa Segundo has been practicing public relations for more than a decade. She has been involved with PRSA Tampa Bay since 2004, as a member. In 2010, Marissa formed the PRSA Tampa Bay Diversity Committee and currently serves as committee chair. She is the current president-elect.  In 2011, Marissa earned her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR). Since college she was an active member of PRSSA when pursuing her undergraduate degrees in Public Relations (BS) and Spanish (BA) at Southeast Missouri State University.  Marissa is the Recycling Coordinator for the City of Largo and does freelance work through her company Transformations PR.  Prior to this she worked as the PR Manager for the SPCA Tampa Bay for five years. She was responsible for media relations, communications planning, marketing, web outreach, education, and event promotion. She is married with a 2 and a half year old.

Adrienne Drew
I am the Marketing Communications Specialist at Grow Financial Federal Credit Union and have been in this position for the past two and a half years. Since getting involved with PRSA Tampa Bay, I have served as the chair the past two years for the Media Roundtable event, Professional Development Day and the Annual Awards ceremony. In addition, I have volunteered my time to help organize other membership events. I typically attend each monthly program and the board conference calls. I have been happily married for 11 years and have two children - a boy and a girl, ages 6 and 3. I'm originally from Georgia, but have lived in Florida since 2001 and love the beach!

Betty S. Carlin, APR
Principal with Carlin Communications, a Tampa Bay-based public relations, marketing and communications firm founded in January 2013.

Betty is an accredited public relations and communications professional with over 25 years of experience in strategic communications, agency and nonprofit organizations. Throughout her career, Betty has excelled in building successful collaborative teams across multiple organizations to accomplish larger organizational or community goals.

Prior to starting her own firm, Betty was Vice President, Marketing & Communications with the Tampa Bay Partnership, a regional economic development organization that advocates for and markets the eight county Tampa Bay region.  In this role, she was responsible for all strategic communications, messaging and positioning of the Partnership's many initiatives to key stakeholders and target market segments as well as creative implementation of the group's marketing and communications.

Betty is a past officer and board member of PRSA Tampa Bay and currently serves as Programs Chair; She is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a degree in Mass Communications/Journalism.

Travis Claytor, APR

Travis is a Tampa native with a passion for the Tampa Bay area and Public Relations. He attended the University of Florida where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Public Relations and a Minor in Business Administration.

Travis has had the opportunity to work with several national and international clients, including Ringling Bros. Circus, Disney on Ice, DMG World Media, Gaylord Palms Resorts and the Florida State Fair. Additionally, he’s had the opportunity to work with several national and international events, including the 2009 Super Bowl, the Republican National Convention and NCAA athletic championships.

Most recently, Travis took a communications role in the theme park industry and now manages the Public Relations and Communications initiatives for Busch Gardens Tampa and Adventure Island. His role includes managing all media relations, crisis communications, media promotions, blogger relations, photo/video needs, and overall content creation.

Travis was involved in PRSSA throughout college, volunteering on several program committees at the University of Florida. Travis has been involved in the Tampa Bay Chapter since 2004 and has served in a variety of roles, including Membership Co-Chair in 2013 and most recently Secretary in 2014.

Paula MacDonald

President of Image Suite PR | Marketing | Media, a full-service public relations, integrated marketing and media design agency that specializes in advising business owners looking to strategically build relationships with their customers and publics. A graduate of the University of Southern California School of Cinema/Television, Paula brings a unique narrative storytelling perspective to public relations. She has completed additional training in communications and multimedia design at the University of South Florida, as well as NIMS certification in incident management for public information officers through the Emergency Management Institute.

A three-year member of PRSA, MacDonald has been involved as a member of the Professional Development Committee and the Chapter Agency Leaders Group. Additionally, she has recently contributed her video production skills to the chapter, shooting and editing video highlights of the 50th Anniversary mixer. Paula is currently an APR candidate, scheduled to test in April 2015.

As a solo PR practitioner, Paula appreciates the value that PRSA brings to its members, and views the opportunity of becoming involved as a board member or committee chair as a way of continuing to share the value of this organization with others.
