United Way Day of Caring

October 12, 2017
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Sulphur Springs Resource Center
8412 North 12th Street
Tampa, FL 33604

Registration is now full.

Join PRSA Tampa Bay on Thursday, Oct. 12, in giving back to our community for the annual United Way Day of Caring!

As part of our chapter’s public service initiative, we’re recruiting volunteers to donate a few hours to participate in a résumé review session at the United Way Sulphur Springs Resource Center. Established in 2009, the Center provides the community with a range of learning resources, such as computer access, job-skills training, employment assistance, legal assistance, and financial-literacy education.

We’ll be working from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., dividing into groups to evaluate the résumés of job candidates on areas such as neatness, organization, and effectiveness, and then discussing our feedback as well as conducting some mock interviews with the candidates to provide counsel on presentation skills. The project follows a similar Day of Caring résumé review workshop that we participated in at the Center two years ago.

Please lend your expertise to help us help our community. Email Joseph Priest at with any questions.
